Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Superintendent to oversee day-to-day operations on active construction sites for national and local retail and restaurant clients. The Superintendent is responsible for managing field activities, coordinating subcontractors and suppliers, enforcing safety compliance, and ensuring quality control. This role requires someone with a strong background in interior fit-outs, remodels, and ground-up commercial construction.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage on-site construction activities from pre-construction through project closeout

Maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are met

Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field staff

Ensure construction is completed according to drawings, specifications, and local codes

Maintain a clean and safe job site; enforce safety standards (OSHA compliance)

Lead site meetings and communicate project updates with project managers and stakeholders

Perform daily site inspections and create detailed progress reports

Solve issues on the spot and escalate critical concerns when necessary

Maintain quality control and proactively resolve punch-list items

Represent the company professionally with clients, inspectors, and partners
Qualifications:

5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or similar role in commercial construction

Proven track record with retail and/or restaurant build-outs (both remodels and ground-up)

Strong knowledge of building systems, construction practices, and local building codes

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs, and schedules

Proficient in using construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project)

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

OSHA 30 certification required

Ability to travel to various job sites as needed
