You’re an experienced Structural Engineer who enjoys being close to the action—solving construction challenges, supporting contractors, and making sure infrastructure gets built right.
This role gives you the chance to do exactly that. You’ll be working with a well-respected engineering firm in New York City, supporting high-impact infrastructure projects through smart, practical construction engineering. From heavy lift plans to temporary works design, your expertise will shape how these projects come together—safely, efficiently, and on time.
What You’ll Do:

Lead the development of construction engineering drawings and technical specifications

Collaborate with contractor clients from kickoff to execution—your input shapes the build
-
Support field operations with site visits, inspections, and real-time problem-solving
-
Contribute to heavy lift planning, rigging design, temporary shoring, demolition engineering, and other core services

Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and participate in high-stakes client meetings
What You’ll Bring:

5+ years of structural engineering experience, ideally in NY or NJ
-
Background in construction engineering, field support, or bridge load ratings
-
PE license (preferred in NY or NJ)
-
Technical proficiency with LARSA, AutoCAD, MicroStation (Revit a bonus)

Familiarity with key codes: AASHTO, AISC, ACI, AREMA, IBC
