Role Overview
This position involves structural analysis, detailing, and coordination for buildings using multiple material systems and design codes. You’ll work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors on projects in a collaborative BIM environment while contributing to full project delivery from design through construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural design and analysis for new buildings and renovations using concrete, steel, and masonry systems
- Prepare construction documents and detailed drawings using BIM (Revit Structure)
- Coordinate with in-house team members and external consultants to ensure design integration across disciplines
- Conduct occasional field inspections as needed to support design work or evaluate existing conditions
- Apply local and national building codes, standards, and engineering practices in technical work
- Contribute to internal discussions on project approach, constructability, and design strategy
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering required; master’s degree preferred
- EIT certification required; PE license a plus
- Minimum of two years of structural design experience in buildings
- Proficiency in structural design software (such as RAM, ETABS, or equivalent)
- Working knowledge of Revit Structure preferred
- Familiarity with cast-in-place, prestressed, and post-tensioned concrete systems
- Knowledge of steel and reinforced masonry design methods
- Strong communication and organizational skills
