Site/Civil Project Manager

A well-established and growing civil engineering consultancy is seeking a Project Manager to lead and oversee land development projects across residential, commercial, and institutional sectors. This position is ideal for a licensed PE with 5+ years of experience looking to step into a leadership role focused on project delivery, client management, and mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage site design projects, including stormwater management, grading, utility layout, and erosion control.

  • Lead project planning, budgeting, and scheduling to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

  • Oversee permitting processes with local, state, and federal agencies.

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, attend presentations, and represent the firm in regulatory and community meetings.

  • Supervise and mentor engineering staff, assigning workload and ensuring quality control across projects.

  • Contribute to business development efforts and proposal preparation.

  • Monitor project financials, including budgets, invoicing, and accounts receivable.

  • Ensure deliverables meet technical, regulatory, and client standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) – required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil/site design and permitting.

  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydrology/hydraulic software such as HydroCAD, StormCAD, SSA, and HEC-RAS.

  • Experience with utility design, including pump stations and force mains.

  • Solid understanding of zoning, planning, and permitting procedures.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Adobe.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed.
