A well-established and growing civil engineering consultancy is seeking a Project Manager to lead and oversee land development projects across residential, commercial, and institutional sectors. This position is ideal for a licensed PE with 5+ years of experience looking to step into a leadership role focused on project delivery, client management, and mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage site design projects, including stormwater management, grading, utility layout, and erosion control.

Lead project planning, budgeting, and scheduling to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

Oversee permitting processes with local, state, and federal agencies.

Maintain strong relationships with clients, attend presentations, and represent the firm in regulatory and community meetings.

Supervise and mentor engineering staff, assigning workload and ensuring quality control across projects.

Contribute to business development efforts and proposal preparation.

Monitor project financials, including budgets, invoicing, and accounts receivable.

Ensure deliverables meet technical, regulatory, and client standards.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) – required.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil/site design and permitting.

Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydrology/hydraulic software such as HydroCAD, StormCAD, SSA, and HEC-RAS.

Experience with utility design, including pump stations and force mains.

Solid understanding of zoning, planning, and permitting procedures.

Proficient with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Adobe.

Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.

Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed.
