Senior Accountant - Tax
Los Angeles, Ca – 100% on-site
Compensation – $80,000 - $110,000 Base salary
Overview The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for ensuring the delivery of tax benefits associated with the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program.
· Review multi-state, multi-tier partnership tax returns including fund tax returns, property ownership partnerships, contributions, allocations, distributions, credit calculations, depreciations values, and sales of assets.
· Work to resolve any issues identified in the return with tax return.
· Prepare K1 information including state withholding and state exemption for the funds.
· Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of tax documents.
· Coordinate for tax payments and extension process.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's Degree in finance or accounting Required
· 3+ years tax experience preferably with section 42 and real estate experience
· Partnership Tax knowledge and experience including preparing partnership tax returns
· Exposure to multi-state filings
· Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Required
· Strong computer skills including proficient in use of Excel and MS Office. Required
· Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to present information to all types of professionals
