Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine structural systems for concrete, steel, and masonry buildings, ensuring compliance with Florida building codes and national standards
- Generate thorough calculations, detailed drawings, and comprehensive reports that clearly communicate design intent and specifications
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and consultants to anticipate and resolve design challenges early in the project lifecycle
- Support project delivery by coordinating schedules, managing technical reviews, and maintaining open communication with stakeholders
- Guide and nurture junior engineers through coaching, design review, and knowledge sharing
- Participate in on-site inspections to verify workmanship and conformance with engineered plans
Qualifications:
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in structural engineering with emphasis on vertical building design
- Current or pending PE license for Florida
- Skilled user of structural design and modeling software, including Revit, ETABS, RAM, or comparable tools
- In-depth knowledge of structural design codes such as IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, paired with proven leadership capabilities
- Experience in field verification and condition assessments preferred but not mandatory
Preferred Project Experience:
- Mixed-use developments combining residential, retail, and office space
- Large-scale institutional facilities such as hospitals, schools, and government buildings
- High-rise structures subject to complex load and wind considerations

Compensation & Benefits:
- Annual base salary range of $110,000 to $130,000 commensurate with experience
