An established and growing civil engineering consulting firm is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead land development projects in the Philadelphia region. This leadership position is ideal for a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with 8+ years of experience in civil/site design, project management, and client engagement.
🧱 Position Overview
The Sr. Project Manager will manage multidisciplinary teams in the design, permitting, and delivery of a wide range of site development projects. The role includes oversight of technical design, project scheduling, financial performance, quality control, and mentoring junior staff — all while serving as a trusted liaison to clients, reviewing agencies, and local officials.
✅ Key Responsibilities

Oversee the design and permitting of land development plans, stormwater management, utility systems, and erosion/sedimentation control

Manage project staffing, scheduling, and budgets in a deadline-driven environment

Serve as a technical and managerial resource throughout the lifecycle of projects

Lead permitting efforts with federal, state, and municipal agencies

Prepare and present proposals, client deliverables, and planning board submissions

Build and maintain long-term client relationships and foster business growth

Guide and mentor junior engineers and designers

Drive quality assurance/quality control and maintain compliance with internal standards

Support leadership with operational strategy and staff development initiatives
🧠 Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

Professional Engineer (PE) license required (PA preferred)

8+ years of experience in civil site design and permitting (residential, commercial, institutional, or industrial projects)

Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D

Familiar with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling tools (HydroCAD, PondPack, SSA, HEC-RAS)

Experience with stormwater, grading, and utility design (including pump stations and force mains)

Understanding of local zoning, land use planning, and permitting processes

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proven ability to lead project teams and manage client relationships

Valid driver’s license required
