Senior Estimator

If you're an experienced estimator ready to step into a senior role, this opportunity offers long-term stability, strong benefits, and a collaborative team culture. We’re hiring a Senior Estimator with a background in commercial construction to join an established general contractor known for delivering quality across a wide range of building types.

This is a full-time, office-based position with minimal travel, ideal for those who enjoy ownership over their work and prefer consistency over jobsite rotation. While the role is based in New York, occasional travel to project locations or pre-bid meetings may be required.

  • Review drawings, specs, and contract documents for a full scope of work
  • Perform quantity takeoffs (OnCenter OST experience preferred)

  • Maintain accurate cost data using Sage Estimating (or similar tools)
  • Support, train, and mentor junior estimating staff
  • Prepare detailed internal reports and pricing comparisons
  • Coordinate with internal teams including preconstruction and project management

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • At least 5 years of estimating or preconstruction experience
  • Previous background as a Project Manager or Superintendent is highly valued
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and trades
  • Able to manage multiple deadlines with clarity and precision
  • Confident in MS Office, Adobe, and digital plan review tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A degree in construction or related field is preferred, but equivalent experience is welcomed
