Job Summary:
The Construction Estimator will be responsible for evaluating project plans, specifications, and requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates for a variety of construction projects. This role involves working closely with the owner, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure competitive and comprehensive bids.
Key Responsibilities:

Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents to understand project requirements.

Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work.

Solicit and analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers.

Perform quantity take-offs using digital tools or by hand.

Identify value engineering options and cost-saving opportunities.

Assist in developing construction schedules and bid packages.

Maintain a database of unit costs and vendor pricing.

Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.

Collaborate with the owner and project team to develop winning proposals.
Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably with a general contractor.

Strong knowledge of retail, restaurants and education construction methods and materials.

Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar).

Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.

Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional site visits.
