We’re recruiting on behalf of a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy seeking a skilled Bridge Engineer to support ongoing infrastructure initiatives across New York and New Jersey. This is a full-time position ideal for someone with at least five years of experience in bridge design, inspection, and rehabilitation—especially those with exposure to regional transportation agencies.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead or support bridge design efforts from concept through construction.

Develop plans, specifications, technical reports, and cost estimates.

Conduct structural analyses, load ratings, and inspections in accordance with AASHTO and agency-specific standards.

Provide technical support throughout construction, including RFI responses and submittal reviews.

Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing.

Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and public agencies.

Assist with proposals, scope development, and project scheduling.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).

Minimum 5 years of relevant bridge engineering experience.

Familiarity with design standards from agencies such as NYSDOT, NYCDOT, NJDOT, NJTA, MTA, and others.

Proficient in structural design software (e.g., STAAD, LARSA, SAP2000).

Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and BIM tools considered a plus.

Strong understanding of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications.

PE license in NY and/or NJ highly desirable.
