We are working with a reputable and fast-growing general contractor specializing in ground-up commercial buildings, tenant improvements, and complex renovations in Connecticut looking for Project Managers to work on a number of commercial projects with a mixture of an on-site presence and in-office presence.
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Commercial Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee commercial construction projects from preconstruction through close-out. This role requires a strategic leader who can manage schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and client relationships to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities

Manage all phases of commercial construction projects, from preconstruction planning to final completion.

Coordinate and lead project meetings with clients, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and forecasts; track project milestones and deliverables.

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and permits.

Issue subcontracts, change orders, purchase orders, and RFIs.

Work closely with field superintendents to ensure project execution aligns with design documents and company standards.

Identify and resolve issues related to budget, scheduling, and construction quality.

Regularly report project progress, costs, and risk assessments to senior leadership.

Foster positive relationships with clients, vendors, and trade partners.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

5+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects, preferably with a general contractor. - Project industries Retail, Education, Hospitality, Entertainment, Medical

Strong knowledge of commercial building methods, scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or Procore), and construction documents.

Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and trades on complex job sites.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

OSHA 30 certification (preferred).

Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and Bluebeam.
