A leading building envelope consultancy is seeking an experienced FISP Inspector with the qualifications and background to be certified as a Qualified Exterior Wall Inspector (QEWI) in the near future. This is a critical role supporting NYC Local Law 11 compliance, façade assessments, and building envelope restoration projects across the five boroughs.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct exterior wall inspections and assessments in compliance with FISP (Façade Inspection & Safety Program) / Local Law 11 requirements.

Prepare detailed inspection reports and support documentation for DOB submission.

Evaluate façade systems, roofing assemblies, and waterproofing conditions on existing buildings.

Assist in the design and oversight of façade and roofing restoration projects.

Review and interpret NYC Building Codes and regulations relevant to exterior restoration.

Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other professionals throughout investigation and reporting.

Maintain accurate field documentation and ensure regulatory compliance at all stages.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering.

Professional License: RA or PE (NY) required.

Strong working knowledge of façade restoration, roofing systems, and waterproofing.

Hands-on experience conducting or assisting with Local Law 11/FISP inspections.

Familiarity with NYC building codes and DOB compliance protocols.

Must be eligible or on track for QEWI certification.

Detail-oriented with strong field observation and reporting skills.

Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolding/lifts as required.
