Assistant Project Manager

We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our rapidly growing commercial team. 

This is for a general contractor located in South Florida.  This is with a company that works on diverse range of exciting projects, from office buildings to retail spaces, and no travel is required.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist the Project Manager in overseeing all phases of construction projects, from pre-construction to close-out, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Help coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors, ensuring they meet deadlines and work within the project scope.
  • Track project progress and update schedules, budgets, and timelines.
  • Attend meetings with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to discuss project updates, resolve issues, and ensure clear communication across all teams.
  • Ensure safety standards and building codes are adhered to on all job sites.
  • Assist in preparing project reports, documentation, and permits as needed.
  • Learn the ins and outs of construction management, from budgeting and procurement to scheduling and team coordination.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Entry-level to 2 years of experience in construction or project management is a plus, but not required.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and project management software is a plus.
